Homemade Christmas Dress

My mother-in-law made Beth her first Christmas dress. Isn't it beautiful? It came complete with matching bloomers! I love it and am so thankful my mother-in-law took the time to make it for her. I'm going to be attending my very first sewing class (birthday gift from mother-in-law) in January. I'm so excited! Quit laughing, I seriously am excited!

What a beautiful girl! Thanks for cluing me in about your blog and, can I just say the gingerbread house story sounded way too familiar. I'll join the support group with you :) I tackled the problem by making each child a graham cracker on school milk box house to decorate and eat themselves.

That little Beth is so adorable, and what fun to have that beautiful dress - that is one to treasure and pass down! She looked so precious in it at church.

I too can join the support group for your gingerbread house project. I must admit to having the same control issues. Why do we think everything has to be perfect. We had Christmas at our house and I went around like a crazy woman driving my family nuts! I told Dave the kids won't ever want it at our house again. (I had Jarrod up on a ladder cleaning our ceiling fans, sheesh!!!!) Well, at least we know we are not alone :)

It was so cute and I love the other outfit she has on too. Good for you starting sewing classes! Hobbies are fun fun fun - especially with three kids. You need some MOM time. I tried the sewing thing but when I pitched the bobbin half way across the house because I couldn't thread the dang sucker, I knew sewing was not to be my stress relief hobby of choice. :)

I saw your comment on Beth's blog and laughed! :) any socks or Star Wars figures floating around?

That dress is lovely...as is your daughter! I love sewing!

Have super day!

Thanks everyone! I'll let you all know when I become a master seamstress! :)

Simplicity - Luckily, it was just my 2 year old amusing himself by flushing the toilet over and over again while his older brother wasted loads of water washing his hands oh-so thoroughly! My family will be receiving no rewards for water conservation, that's for sure! :)

We will want to see your creations on here once you start your class!

Beth is adorable, and looks just like a baby doll. I know you are having a wonderful time with some "girly" in your house!
